Part-Time Student – Process Automation
Location: Greeneville, TN (Onsite)

John Deere is seeking a Part-Time Student to support Factory Automation and Data Analytics at our Greeneville, TN facility. This role offers hands-on experience in automation, data analysis, and process improvement while working alongside industry experts.

Responsibilities:

Collect, analyze, and visualize factory operations data.
Support automation solutions to enhance efficiency and product quality.
Develop and maintain applications using Ignition by Inductive Automation and Power BI dashboards.
Write and optimize SQL queries for data management.
Collaborate with teams, troubleshoot technical issues, and contribute to process improvements.
Document findings and participate in team meetings.

Qualifications:

Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD program in Engineering, Data Science, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or a related field.
Experience with Microsoft Excel, Power BI, Python, R, or SQL.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication.
Ability to work 16-20 hours/week during the academic year and 30-40 hours/week in the summer.

Qualifications:

Junior, Senior, or Graduate student (as of May 2025)
Majoring in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field
Experience with audio/video equipment & editing software
