Research Assistance

Need help with a research project?

The Thomas J. Garland Library staff offers in-person research help to the Tusculum University undergraduate and graduate students, faculty, staff, as well as the larger community. We are also available for virtual research consultations via phone, email, and online chat.

Library staff is available during operating hours to answer questions. Individual information literacy sessions can also be scheduled in-person and online for more in depth assistance as needed. Appointments are not necessary, however, if you would like to schedule a specific time to meet with a librarian (either in-person or virtually), you may contact individual librarians directly or use the “Ask a Librarian!” form to ask a question or schedule an appointment. 

Additionally, librarians serve online and distance students, and other students who may not be able to access campus, by offering virtual research consultations via Zoom. Students may request to make an appointment with a librarian using the “Ask a Librarian” form.

Faculty may also refer students to librarians for research help. In fact, we highly encourage faculty to send students to us for help with research papers and projects.
