Study Skills: Study Habits

A guide to provide information on building study skills, note taking tips and other useful study skills to help students get through their college career.

Building Study Habits

Developing good study habits for yourself, can certainly keep you on track to success. The biggest thing to remember is to find what works best for you and then keep at it.

When studying for an exam, don't try to cram it all in last minute, give yourself time to focus and memorize what you need to remember. If needed, approach your exam in pieces and focus on studying just a little bit at a time until you feel confident you understand it all. Remember, take your time, don't rush it and you'll be fine.

And if you need help, Tusculum has several departments on campus that can help you achieve success! You can visit Student Support Services for things like academic advise or even personal support, you can visit the Tutoring Center and Library for help with research and writing. There are several places on campus that are here to help you succeed in your college career!
